Blackfalds teacher is Division finalist for ASBA Edwin Parr Award
To honour excellence in first-year teachers, the Board of Trustees have selected Nicole Adrian from St. Gregory the Great Catholic School in Blackfalds as Division finalist for the Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) Edwin Parr Award.
“As an admin team, we nominated Nicole because she has done an amazing job of teaching her students and working with her teammates,” says St. Gregory the Great Principal, Ike Hanna, in a release. “Even though she is a first-year teacher she has demonstrated excellent teaching pedagogy and has been very reflective as she strives to continue to grow in her craft.”
“Our admin team was so excited and happy for Nicole after we found out she was selected as the Division finalist,” continues Hanna. “It is so awesome that she is being recognized as she has worked so hard this year and made so many connections with the students and staff of our school.”
