Canyon Ski Resort closes for season

After careful consideration and deliberation regarding the rapidly growing concern over Covid-19 , and the decision by The City of Red Deer to announce a state of local emergency, Canyon Ski Resort has announced it will be ceasing operations for the season.

“As much as we would love to stay open and provide an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors for our last week, we feel it is our duty to help reduce the spread of this virus,” management said in a Facebook post. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the health and safety of our guests, staff and the city of Red Deer is more important.”
