Stettler Regional Emergency Management Agency activates Emergency Operations Centre

Mar 16, 2020 | 9:18 PM

The Stettler Regional Emergency Management Agency activated the Emergency Operations Centre at 1700 hours today.

“We are currently recommending the cancellation or postponement of all public recreational or group gatherings,” officials say in a media release.

“We have set up a SREMA Hotline to answer citizen questions and concerns. This hotline will be active from 8 AM-6 PM daily, until further notice – for questions and concerns relating to Regional or Town and County operations and services.”

The hotline phone number is 403-742-7300.

Officials say the Stettler Regional Emergency Management Agency’s efforts will align with the directives of Alberta Health Services and the Province of Alberta.

“We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation closely in our region and execute all provincial and federal mandates as they are issued.”
