A charity hockey game between Penhold Volunteer Firefighters and Bowden Correction Officers over the weekend has resulted in a boost to the coffers of the Red Deer Food Bank Society.

On Monday, Penhold Fire Chief Jim Pendergast said more than 200 pounds of food and $265 cash was collected for the food bank at Saturday night’s 4th Annual Charity Hockey Game at the Penhold Multiplex.

Officials from both organizations thank the public for their support.
