Olds Grizzlys open AJHL playoffs with win over Drumheller
The Olds Grizzlys opened up their first round AJHL playoff series with the Drumheller Dragons with a 4-1 win on Sunday to take an early 1-0 lead in the series.
The Grizzlys opened up the scoring 8:17 into the first when Payton MacDonald-Corea scored from Logan Bromhead.
Drumheller tied it with three seconds left in the period when Brady Risk scored a powerplay goal from Kent Anderson and Eric Martin after Olds MacDonald-Corea was called for holding.
From that point on Grizzlys goalie Ty Marcinkowski shut the door on his way to stopping 43 of 44 shots in the game.
