Charges have been laid against a Calgary man following an incident in downtown Red Deer on Tuesday that resulted in a heavy police presence around the Millennium Centre.

Mounties say 38-year-old David Anderson is charged with uttering threats and mischief.

On Feb. 25, police allege Anderson phoned a business in the Millenium Centre threatening harm and violence to staff.

Red Deer RCMP quickly responded and determined the threat was not credible.
