RDC Queens open hockey playoffs vs. NAIT

The RDC Queens hockey squad will take on the NAIT Ooks in a best-of-three ACAC league semi-final series this weekend.

The second-ranked Queens (15-6-3-0) host third seed NAIT (13-9-2-0) for game one of the series Friday at 8 p.m. at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

Game two goes Saturday night in Edmonton. Game three, if necessary, goes at the Harris Centre Sunday at 5 p.m.

The Queens earned eight of 12 points over six head-to-head games with NAIT in the regular season. The Queens only dropped one contest in regulation time to the Ooks. Three of the games went to a shootout and four of the six games were separated by a single goal.

MacEwan University (21-3-0-0) will play the SAIT Trojans (7-16-1-0) in the other semi-final series.
