RCMP presentation and intermunicipal agreements the focus of Brazeau County Council
At their February 18 meeting, Brazeau County Council received a presentation from RCMP Staff Sergeant Malcolm Calihoo and Sergeant Erin Matthews on results from the Drayton Valley RCMP’s public survey on police priorities. The detachment also listed their own priorities for 2020.
The top three priorities identified in the survey are major property crime, minor property crime, and increased focus on prolific offenders.
The RCMP consults municipal councils when it sets yearly priorities. The operating year for the RCMP begins April 1.
Brazeau County Council also discussed the Intermunicipal Development Plans (IDP) and Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks (ICF) with the Village of Breton and the Town of Drayton Valley.
