Mounties seize drugs, stolen property, weapons from Olds residence

Olds RCMP have charged three men and one woman in connection to a search warrant that turned up drugs, weapons and stolen property.

Police executed the search at a home in Olds on Feb. 13 and found multiple firearms, including a loaded .22 caliber rifle, along with a a large amount of copper wire, a wire stripping machine, brass knuckles, and ammunition.

Mounties also found over 20 grams of alleged methamphetamine, and other substances believed to be magic mushrooms, heroin, and oxycodone.

Charles Benson Schmidt, 45, of Olds has been charged with possession of stolen property less than $5,000 and over, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of careless use of a firearm, among other charges.

Cory Ryan Davies, 43, of Olds has been charged with possession of stolen property less than $5,000 and over, along with a failure to comply with a release order.

Sheri-Lynn Kathleen Koch, 39, and Wilson Gray Woodland, 52, both of Olds have been charged with possession of stolen property less than $5,000 and more than $5,000.

Benson Schmidt and Ryan Davies will appear in Didsbury court on February 24, while Kathleen Koch and Gray Woodland will appear in court on March 23.
