Second protest planned for Red Deer over provincial cuts

Feb 11, 2020 | 2:10 PM

A second rally is planned for later this month in Red Deer to protest cuts being made to public services by the provincial government.

This Thursday, Feb. 13, members of the United Nurses of Alberta will meet at City Hall at noon before marching to the office of Red Deer-South MLA Jason Stephan.

On Saturday, Feb. 29, Red Deer will be included in a province-wide series of rallies against what organizers are calling “the brutal austerity of the UCP government.”

The rally is being organized by a group called ABCan Forward and is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. at City Hall.
