Red Deer- Food studies students demonstrated, prepared and served Italian delights last Thursday evening at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School’s “Le Cordon Rouge” Kitchen event.

For $65, people were able to receive a hands-on cooking lesson with a full course Italian meal.

This included fresh pasta, chicken piccata, cacio e pepe, risotto and homemade cannoli.

“Our grad service project has been an annual tradition for years here. It is an incredible opportunity for students, teachers and parents to team up and support some amazing causes in our community. I love how events like this let my students share what they are passionate about. Yesterday evening was a huge success and allowed my students to take what they have learned in the classroom and share it with others outside the school,” said Food Studies Teacher Jeff Lerouge.
