Measles confirmed in Edmonton area

EDMONTON- Alberta health officials have issued a warning after a case of measles in the Edmonton area.

Alberta Health Services has released a list of times and places where the person has been over the last several days.

Anyone who was at those locations at those times who hasn’t received any measles vaccine or who is pregnant, immune-compromised or under one year of age is advised to call Health Link 811.

Measles is a highly contagious disease spread easily through the air.
