CALGARY- Police in Calgary say they are working with Quebec law enforcement in a human trafficking investigation that resulted in five arrests.

They were contacted in 2018 about a sex trade investigation that started in Quebec involving residents of Alberta.

Investigators determined five people were allegedly involved in the human trafficking of several female sex workers in and around the Calgary area.

Police say they are now releasing details of the two-year investigation because all five suspects, three from Calgary and two from Quebec, have been arrested and charged.
