Rocky RCMP Report Jan 24-29

This is a report released to the media from the Rocky Mountain House (RMH) RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved throughout the community between the dates of January 24-29.

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

January 24

9:36 A.M. – A Black 2013 Nissan ROGUE was stolen overnight from a detached garage in RMH.

9:41 A.M. – Overnight, a garage in RMH was broken into and rifled through.

4:42 P.M. – Complaint of a truck passing a school bus with lights flashing on Highway #11. Under investigation.

9:51 P.M. – Police are investigating after received a 911 call of an assault on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve.

10:24 P.M. – Report of a B&E at residence in RMH. Under investigation.

11:46 P.M. – Call of 2 people, dressed in black, going through backyards on 54 street & 61 Ave, RMH. Another report was received at 1:33 A.M. when they were spotted on 57 Ave & 56 street area.

January 25

5:13 A.M. – 911 call of a theft of a black 2015 FORD Super Duty with Manitoba licence plate, stolen from RMH. It was later reported in the ditch on SecHwy #752.

5:52 A.M. – Police, along with EMS, attended a pedestrian collision on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. The vehicle driver was given a test on the Alcohol Screening Device, which she failed and was subsequently arrested. Charges are pending. The female victim was taken to a Calgary hospital where she passed away. RCMP, including the Red Deer Collision Reconstructionist unit, continue to investigate.

8:29 A.M. – Call of a suspicious male looking into vehicles on 63 Street in RMH.

11:08 A.M. – Licence plate stolen from DODGE car in RMH.

11:55 A.M. – B&E to sheds at the RMH baseball diamonds. A value of $1800 worth of equipment was stolen.

2:33 P.M. – Report of an assault which occurred last night in Clearwater County. Under investigation.

January 26

9:40 A.M. – Licence plate reported stolen from Chevrolet car while parked at RMH Motel.

1:43 P.M. – 3 bottles of liquor stolen from RMH store.

8:27 P.M. – Black 2007 Cadillac Escalade stolen from parking lot while owner inside of grocery store.

11:37 P.M. – Vehicle broken into and wallet stolen while parked at residence in RMH.

January 27

5:48 A.M. – Window smashed out of vehicle in Caroline.

9:06 A.M. – Window smashed out of vehicle in Caroline. Oxygen tank was stolen.

9:13 A.M. – B&E into cottage on Range Road 8-3A, Clearwater County.

9:22 A.M. – Report of an unlocked vehicle broken into in RMH & a wallet was stolen.

4:22 P.M. – Stolen vehicle recovered overnight on a lease site on Range Road 6-2 & Twp Rd 37-5, Clearwater County. Another vehicle was stolen from a nearby residence, a silver 2007 Saturn Vue.

5:35 P.M. – Grey 2000 FORD Escape reported stolen from residence on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve.

10:25 P.M. – Report of a suspicious person in a reflective jacket walking on private property on Range Road 4-5 & Twp Rd 38-4 area of Clearwater County.

January 28

5:15 A.M. – Theft of a blue 2008 DODGE 2500 pickup truck, with a slip tank, stolen from a residence in RMH.

7:38 A.M. – Laptop stolen from a vehicle overnight in RMH.

8:43 A.M. – 2017 Mitsubishi SUV stolen overnight from residence on O’Chiese First Nation Reserve.

11:17 A.M. – Report of a white/black POLARIS Razor stolen from yard on Pine Ridge Way, Clearwater County.

2:47 P.M. – Complaint of a black DODGE Durango passing a number of vehicles at a high rate of speed, in the school zone in Leslieville.

3:52 A.M. – Theft of a black 2009 FORD Flex stolen from in front of a residence in RMH.

5:56 P.M. – Call of mischief to a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Police attended and arrested an adult male who had caused extensive damage inside the home. Charges pending.

January 29

2:20 A.M. – Report of an intoxicated male causing problems at a RMH pub. He punched a window and took off running down the alley with another male patron. Police located the highly intoxicated individuals down the street. One was arrested for mischief while the other kept on yelling that if the police took his friend, they should take him as well. He refused to take the offer of returning to his hotel, so subsequently his wish was granted and he was arrested for public intoxication. Both subjects were released when sober, one of whom received a document, compelling him to appear in RMH provincial court in March.

4:56 A.M. – Black FORD F350 stolen from residence in RMH.

5:41 A.M. – Dark blue 2002 MAZDA Protégé stolen from residence in RMH.
