RED DEER- Bull Skit Comedy has been making Red Deer laugh for the past 12 years.
They are hosting a number of upcoming workshops.
Intro to Sketch Writing will be held on Sunday, February 2, 9, 16, and 23, from 1-4 p.m.
Intro to Improv workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, 11, 18, and 25 from 7-9 p.m.
Intro to Improv instructor Dan Vasquez focuses on the basics of improv with acceptance, support, trusting your fellow players, and play. This type of workshop is great for people looking to build confidence, try something new, and connect with other people. Dan has been with Bull Skit for eight years. He has played and received training in Seattle, Chicago, New York and Ljubljana. We promise you will have loads of fun in this class.
The Intro to Sketch Writing is a brand new course we have developed. Bull Skit has been doing sketch for 12 years and have an amazing line up of instructors who have trained at Second City (Toronto/Chicago), and Humber College’s Comedy Writing program (Toronto), plus writing a new sketch show each month for the past 10 years.
This four week course with take you through sketch structure, types of sketches, tools, the pitching process, and approaching a first draft. This workshop is not just for aspiring and current sketch writers but for anyone looking to write. If you’re a stand up comedian, a writer, a student, someone looking to try something new, then this is the perfect stepping stone into the fun, fast, hilarious art of Sketch Comedy. Our Instructors include Jenna Goldade, Matt Dale, Jeremy Robinson, and Emily Seymour.
