There has been a stay of proceedings in the case for a Red Deer man charged after a woman was shot at the O’Chiese First Nation this past fall.

It was at about 8:30 p.m. on September 27, 2019 when police and EMS were called to the O’Chiese First Nation where a woman had been shot in the head.

Blair Travis Saulteaux, 35, was charged with aggravated assault, six firearms counts and two counts of breach of probation.

A preliminary hearing was to take place last week in Rocky Mountain House provincial court. However, according to Alberta Justice there was a stay of proceedings on Dec. 17.
