Rebels lead blood challenge with Hurricanes through two weeks

The Red Deer Rebels are off to a good start in their bid to outdo the Lethbridge Hurricanes this month in support of Canadian Blood Services.

Once again in January, the Rebels and Hurricanes are competing to see which team can bring in the most blood donations.

With two weeks in the books, the Rebels lead by a margin of 158 to 99.

Lethbridge, however, has recruited more new blood donors this month by a margin of 27 to 19.

“We still need to bring in some fresh blood to the competition. New donors are very important to building our donor base,” says Marissa Stryker, Territory Manager for Canadian Blood Services in Red Deer.
