City Mounties are investigating after an employee at Walmart in south Red Deer was reportedly held up at gunpoint.
In a release, RCMP say the incident happened at about 11 p.m. Thursday.
“It is alleged that an adult female suspect pointed what is believed to be a firearm at an employee after being confronted about items she was attempting to steal,” says the release. “A confrontation ensued but no one was injured.”
Mounties say the woman got into a waiting vehicle before fleeing the scene. So far, RCMP have been unable to locate the suspect or the vehicle and its occupants.
