Wetaskiwin RCMP investigating fatal pedestrian collision

RCMP are investigating a collision that has claimed the life of a good samaritan.
On Dec. 28 at 6:40 p.m., Wetaskiwin RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Highways 616 and 795.
Mounties say a 62-year-old woman was outside her vehicle after assisting another vehicle which had gone into the ditch.
Police say the woman was struck by a passing vehicle and sustained serious injuries as a result, adding the woman was taken to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
