Red Deer RCMP searching for person of interest following gun theft

Dec 23, 2019 | 4:46 PM

Red Deer RCMP are requesting assistance in identifying a female person of interest in relation to a theft of a restricted firearm from a residence.

Mounties say the offence occurred in October 2019 when the owner of the firearm met with a potential buyer for the purpose of a private sale.

The firearm was stolen and the individual fled the scene after the owner asked to see the buyer’s Purchase and Acquisition License (PAL).

In November, the firearm was recovered by police in an abandoned stolen vehicle.

The individual is described as a Caucasian female, 19 to 20-years-old, approximately 5’8” tall, 115 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black bandana. She may use the first name Hanna.

If you recognize this person or have information on her whereabouts, contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575. If you have information on this or any other crime and wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by internet at www.tipsubmit.com. You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers, and if you provide information to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest(s), you may be eligible for a cash reward.
