Trial dates set for man accused in Sunchild First Nation murder
A man charged for a murder at the Sunchild First Nation just over a year ago will face trial in 2021.
Evan Ernest Foureyes appeared in Red Deer Court of Queen’s Bench on Monday via CCTV. The 30-year-old is charged with second-degree murder, assault with a weapon and kidnapping with a firearm.
Trial dates have been set for April 19 to May 7, 2021.
It was on Nov. 9, 2018 when Rocky Mountain House RCMP were called to a gas station at the Sunchild First Nation where a man had suffered serious injuries in an altercation. Two others suffered non-life threatening injuries.
