Partiers destroy house in Sylvan Lake

An investigation is underway after dozens of partiers broke into a home in Sylvan Lake and left behind a trail of destruction.

RCMP responded just after 10:30 p.m. to the large house party on Falcon Ridge Drive. Officers broke up the party and determined that there were over 50 young people in the home.

“The interior of the house suffered substantial damage; deemed to be mischief to property according to the Criminal Code,” RCMP say in a media release, adding that some arrests were made on scene but no charges have been laid to date.

The home that was trashed was listed as a rental on Airbnb.

Sylvan Lake RCMP are looking for public assistance in collecting any video evidence or identification information about culprits responsible.
