A man was arrested during a police incident in Red Deer’s Inglewood neighbourhood on Wednesday.

Police surrounded a home located on Ivany Close at around noon and remained there until the early evening.

Tear gas was deployed before one man was taken into custody at about 2:30 p.m.

An RCMP spokesperson tells rdnewsNOW that a search warrant was being executed when the arrest was made, and that the Edmonton Police Service was involved in the investigation leading up to it.

RCMP say there was no risk to the public during Wednesday’s incident.
