Lowe’s to remain in Red Deer, 34 stores to close in Canada

Lowe’s Canada announced Wednesday that it is closing 34 of its stores across the country due to underperformance.

The Red Deer location at 15 Signet Close that opened late last year is not among them.

Six of the stores being closed are located in Alberta. Two are in Calgary while the others are in Airdrie, Edmonton, St. Albert and Sherwood Park.

Lowe’s Canada said it intends to invest in its supply chain, web platforms, existing stores and affiliate network.
