Dairy Queen Athlete of the Month – September 2019 – Mikel McIver

For the September edition of the Dairy Queen Athlete of the Month, we draw our attention to someone who just celebrated 20 years with the Red Deer Rebels.

While that is a great feat in its own, the reason he’s receiving the DQ Athlete of the Month award is for the splash he’s made in the pool over the last several years, winning countless medals at the provincial and national level.

Meet Mikel McIver, who many of you know as the Rebels’ dressing room attendant, but he’s also made a name for himself with Special Olympics Swimming.
