Mounties are continuing their investigation into a short police pursuit north of Ponoka on Saturday that ended with an RCMP vehicle being struck and an officer suffering minor injuries.

The incident began over the noon hour after Ponoka RCMP received a complaint of a vehicle being driven erratically.

Police say a Maskwacis RCMP member spotted the suspect vehicle driving erratically on Highway 2A, with a traffic stop initiated on Range Road 252.

The vehicle fled the stop however, resulting in a very short pursuit which ended when the suspect vehicle reversed and collided with an RCMP truck.
