Weekend crash in north Red Deer puts three in hospital

Three people were taken to hospital Sunday evening following a scary-looking crash in north Red Deer.

RCMP and other first responders attended the scene just before 7 p.m. to Taylor Drive and 77 Street where a westbound car with two passengers and northbound truck with one occupant had collided.

STARS Air Ambulance rendezvoused at Red Deer Regional Hospital to take one woman to Edmonton hospital in critical condition. The health status of the others is unknown at this time.

RCMP are not ruling out that speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash, according to S/Sgt. Jeff McBeth. Charges have not yet been laid.
