Flags of Remembrance go up Saturday in Sylvan Lake
The annual Flags of Remembrance ceremony in Sylvan Lake goes this Saturday.
Veterans Voices of Canada, which is based in central Alberta, pays tribute each year to the 128,000 Canadians killed and missing in action from the Boer War to current missions by raising 128 flags.
Ceremonies will also be held this weekend in Sydney, NS, and Windsor, ON, all simultaneously at noon mountain time.
In Sylvan Lake, the flag parade will begin at 11:30 by the lakeshore.
