Natalie MacMaster coming to Red Deer

Canadian music icon Natalie MacMaster will bring the Kitchen Party Tour to Red Deer at the Memorial Centre on October 20.

Tickets for the show went on-sale Friday. Prices start at $45.00 (plus applicable fees) and are available online, by phone or in person at the Black Knight Ticket Centre.

Natalie MacMaster’s Kitchen Party Tour promises a lively, intimate night of acoustic Cape Breton traditional and original music. Natalie will be joined by a trio of guests: European Celtic guitarist Tim Edey, Irish/Canadian Juno award winning percussionist Mark Kelso and Natalie’s oldest daughter, Mary Frances Leahy.

Born in Inverness County, Nova Scotia, MacMaster is a world-renowned Canadian fiddler and step-dancer, Grammy Award nominee and Order of Canada recipient.

The celebrated gold-selling artist catapulted onto the music scene in 1989 with her debut album, Four on the Floor. 1993 saw the release of Fit as a Fiddle, bringing international acclaim and the first of numerous gold selling albums.

With over 14 albums in her extensive catalogue, Natalie MacMaster boasts top-ten charting records and singles, two Juno Awards, five Canadian Country Music Association Awards and a record nineteen East Coast Music Awards.

Her artistic collaborations are wide and diverse, and include musical stalwarts Yo-Yo Ma, Merle Haggard, Faith Hill, Carlos Santana, Don Henley, The Chieftains, Bela Fleck, Jesse Cook and Allison Krauss.
