Sep 12, 2019 | 10:10 AM

Sundre RCMP say the body of a Regina man who went missing last weekend in Clearwater County has been located.

Terrance Kereluke, 61, was reported missing Saturday afternoon from near the Mountain Aire Lodge. He’d last been seen at around 9 a.m. that day as he went out for a walk.

Staff members at the lodge first searched the surrounding area without locating him. A follow-up search conducted by Sundre RCMP members with the assistance of Police Dog Services was unsuccessful.

Mounties continued their search the following morning with the assistance of Search and Rescue, a search helicopter crew, and fire services from Sundre and Clearwater County.

Police say Kereluke’s body was located at about 2 p.m. Wednesday near the shore of the Red Deer River.

The exact cause of death yet to be determined. Sundre RCMP is working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner but believe Kereluke’s death is not criminal in nature.

Sundre RCMP thank the many volunteers from Sundre, Didsbury, and Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue groups, Sundre Fire Department, Clearwater Fire Services, and also to Ahlstrom Air Ltd. for the use of their helicopter during search efforts.
