Driver caught going 226 km/hour near Brooks

BROOKS, AB β Brooks RCMP may have done a double take when they clocked a driver travelling as fast as he was over the weekend.
At 9:45 p.m. on Friday, August 9, officers were doing patrols of Highway 1 when they saw a westbound vehicle driving at a high speed.
They claim that the vehicle registered a speed of 226 km/hour on the radar.
βThe vehicle has recently passed several other vehicles at this speed, putting other users of the roadway at significant risk,β reads a media release from Brooks RCMP.
