CALGARY- Police say a couple and their eight-month-old infant suffered serious injuries when a car slammed into a fast-food restaurant.
The parents — both 34-years-old — were sitting at a table with their baby when an Acura travelling at a high rate of speed slammed into a large window of the KFC outlet just before 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Officers say the vehicle left the roadway when driver made a sharp left turn onto a street that was clearly marked as closed for construction and charges are being considered.
The family members were taken to hospital in serious condition, but were later upgraded to stable.
