Man shot in Red Deer alley

A man was flown to hospital in Calgary after being shot in the leg early this morning in Red Deer.

Mounties responded at about 3 a.m. to a report of a shooting in a back alley off 44 Street.

Police say a male victim was found with a gunshot wound to his leg and was airlifted by STARS to a Calgary hospital. No details were shared regarding the extent of his injuries.

RCMP are investigating two suspect vehicles related to the incident. The vehicles were described as a small, dark car and a small, dark, four-door SUVs.
