EDMONTON- A drug dealer convicted in a fentanyl overdose death has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Jordan Yarmey was originally charged with manslaughter after 33-year-old Szymon Kalich died in the dealer’s apartment in January 2016 shortly after getting out of a recovery centre.
But he pleaded guilty on Monday to criminal negligence causing death and trafficking a controlled substance.
The judge accepted a joint submission from the Crown and defence in handing down the sentence.
