Red Deerians asked for input on transit service
RED DEER- An online survey is now open for residents to provide input as The City develops a plan for transit network improvements.
The goal of the project is to ensure transit riders have access to frequent, connected and quality transit service that acknowledges the ever growing and diverse needs of transit riders within the central Alberta region.
“This project is about reshaping transit to best meet the needs of Red Deerians and transit riders as our city and our region grows and changes in the coming years,” said George Penny, Transit Manager. “Based on previous engagement on transportation and mobility, we determined that quality, connection, comfort and safety are what matter most to citizens. But before we move forward with major transit network improvements, we want to verify if that still rings true today.”
The data collected in the survey will be used to help form a new transit plan for Red Deer.
