NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask.- RCMP in Saskatchewan say a second person has been charged in the death of a missing Edmonton woman.

Police say 32-year-old Danita Thomas, from North Battleford, faces counts of first-degree murder, kidnapping, improperly interfering with a human body and theft of a motor vehicle.

Shayla Orthner, 27, faces similar charges.

The two women are accused of killing 25-year-old Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere, whose remains were found last week by a police dog in a rural area outside North Battleford.
