NORTH BATTLEFORD- The RCMP has confirmed that human remains found in Saskatchewan last week are those of a missing Edmonton woman.
They say an autopsy has determined the body found by a police dog during an investigation outside of North Battleford is that of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere.
Mounties have said her disappearance was suspicious and was being investigated as a homicide.
The 25-year-old woman was last seen in North Battleford on May 1 after she travelled to the city for a funeral but police say she didn’t have transportation to return home and they were concerned she may have tried hitchhiking to get back to Alberta.
