STANDOFF- An officer with the Blood Tribe Police Service in southern Alberta has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

The police service says a female officer with the force alleges that in February 2017, she was touched inappropriately on two separate occasions.

The touching allegedly occurred while both were on duty.

The charges were laid after an investigation by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team in consultation with Alberta Crown prosecutors.
