Waghorn Street Construction to Affect Access

Road closure for the repaving of Waghorn Street began today and will alter access of the Civic Cultural Centre, FCSS and Tayles Water Spray Park. The project will be performed in phases and will take approximately four weeks to complete, depending on the weather.

On July 10, partial road and sidewalk closures will be in effect for gas line work and line locating in preparation of the full road closure between Broadway Ave. and East Ave. These should have no impact to accessing the Civic Cultural Centre, FCSS building and Tayles Water Spray Park parking lot.

However, beginning Monday, July 15, full road closures will be in effect and visitors may access the Civic Cultural Centre, FCSS building and Tayles Water Spray Park parking lot via the alleyways off of Gregg St. or East Ave. Drivers are encouraged to follow the signage that will direct them to use alternate access points.

The road closure will also affect BOLT Transit services and stops along East Ave. and Waghorn St. which are temporarily relocated along Broadway Ave. for the duration of this project.

Temporary stops will be placed in front of Broadway Liquor (north bound) and Granden Auto (south bound).
