WAINWRIGHT- The mayor of Wainwright says a six-year-old girl was seriously hurt when she fell off a float during the town’s annual stampede parade on Saturday.
Brian Bethune says the incident occurred just outside the hospital in the east-central Alberta community.
He says the girl was initially treated at the facility before being flown to Edmonton due to concerns about brain damage.
Bethune says that has now been ruled out but the girl did suffer some broken bones.
