Ponoka Mounties lay charges following break-ins

Following an investigation into three break and enters that occurred in late May, RCMP have arrested and charged one male from Ponoka.

Property from the three different break-ins was recovered and returned to owners.

On May 27, police say two different rural properties were victims of break-ins. A Yamaha Grizzly 550 was stolen from one shop and another Yamaha and a generator were stolen from a second. While at this shop, RCMP recovered a truck which had been stolen from Wetaskiwin on May 25. Inside the truck was stolen property including tools, a generator a Yamaha 50 cc motor bike, welder and other items.

The other property broken into suffered the theft of a Yamaha 50 cc motor bike, welder and various tools. It was determined that the property in the truck was the property stolen from the second break-in. The owner was able to recover all the stolen property.
