Red Deer RCMP are investigating a break-in and theft at The Key Hole, a downtown business on 49 Street and 51 Avenue.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on June 15, according to Constable Derek Turner.

Several display cases were broken and it’s estimated around $1000 worth of knives were stolen. The knives could be of many varieties, from kitchen to hunting style.

“Whether it’s using them for a dangerous purpose or something they could easily grab and turn over for cash, it’s hard to say. We’re concerned there are some knives out there,” Turner says.
