Canadian Taxpayers Federation bringing cross-country pipeline tour to Red Deer
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation’s cross-country tour showing how much money taxpayers are losing because Canadian oil is sold for less than its full value due to a lack of pipeline capacity is coming to Red Deer this weekend.
The tour, which includes a large digital clock displaying the losses going up in real-time, will be set up at City Hall Park this Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. Red Deer – Mountain View MP Earl Dreeshen, Red Deer – South MLA Jason Stephan, and Reg Warkentin with the Red Deer and District Chamber of Commerce are among those scheduled to speak at the event.
The CTF is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit citizen’s group that bills itself as being dedicated to lower taxes, less waste and accountable government.
