“Deerassic Park” back for remainder of NBA Finals

After more than 1,400 people cheered on “Canada’s Team” at Servus Arena Monday night, The City of Red Deer is bring back “Deerassic Park” for game six and, if necessary, game seven of the NBA Finals.

Red Deerians of all ages are invited to the free viewing party to watch the Toronto Raptors take on the Golden State Warriors.

Game six is set for Thursday night at 7 p.m. Doors at the Servus Arena will open at 6:30.

Game seven is scheduled for Sunday night at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30.

As was the case for game five on Monday, a large screen will be set up on the floor of the arena, with standing only on the floor. Seating will be available in the stands (no outside chairs allowed).

The City says that following Game 5, improvements are being made to both the lighting and sound. The arena safety netting will also be removed to improve sight lines.

Food trucks will be set up in the parking lot, and Percy’s Concession inside Servus Arena will be serving food and beverages.
