Celebrity Dance Off raises $300,000 for Friends of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre

RED DEER- The 2019 Celebrity Dance Off raised approximately $300,000 for Friends of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.

Executive director Richelle Belzerowski is thrilled with the outcome.

“The Celebrity Dance Off raised much needed funds for the comfort and care of patients and their families but just as importantly, it raised awareness of the important work we do,” she said.

Dance Off Co-chair Christine Moore commented, “It was a real pleasure to partner with the friends and learn about this amazing volunteer based organization. The difference they make by enhancing patient experience is truly remarkable. We are so grateful for all they do.

Moore says the Celebrity Dance Off will taking a year off in 2020 and will begin accepting applications from interested organizations starting for the 2021 event in April.

“In light of our current economic reality and wishing to acknowledge and respect the incredible generosity of our community over the past eight years, we wish to give our volunteers a well earned rest.

“The next Celebrity Dance Off will be in 2021. We invite you to stay tuned and we look forward to seeing you on the dance floor once again.”
