The City of Red Deer is making it easier for residents to take part in Clean Air Day on Wednesday by inviting everyone take part with free transit and a celebration at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.

People who use free transit on Clean Air Day can enter themselves into a draw for a Red Deer Transit card with 12 free rides on it. Contest details at reddeer.ca/cleanairday.

“Clean Air Day reminds us that we all have a part to play in protecting our environment and contributing to good air quality,” said Lauren Maris, Environmental Program Specialist, “We are offering free transit on Wednesday so people can help reduce emissions by leaving their cars at home; it’s a small change that can make a big difference.”
