Shuttle bus service for Lacombe’s Kids Can Catch Day

LACOMBE- The annual Kids Can Catch Day, hosted by the Lacombe Fish and Game Association, will be held at the Len Thompson Fish Pond on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Families are invited to bring the kids and learn more about fisheries and conservation while enjoying food, fun, festivities and Len Thompson factory tours.

Everyone is also invited to attend the public unveiling of the World’s Largest Fishing Lure at 10:45 a.m. at the fish pond.

Since parking in the area is limited, those who wish to attend are advised to park in the Lionel’s No Frills grocery store parking lot and take the free BOLT shuttle bus to the event from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Additional parking is available beside the ball diamonds on Woodlands Drive, and along the south section of Len Thompson Drive.

Parking is not permitted on Highway 2A or along Wolf Creek Drive during the event.
