Two local men face drug and stolen property charges following a joint investigation by the Lacombe Police Service and Blackfalds RCMP.

On May 10, a Lacombe police investigation into the theft of a utility trailer led them to a rural property north of Lacombe where the stolen items were found, recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

Other stolen items were noted at the property and Blackfalds RCMP were brought in to execute a search warrant.

Shawn Bullerwell of Lacombe County was charged with trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, fraudulent concealment, and possessing cocaine and methamphetamine.

Bruce Regie of Red Deer is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and for possessing cocaine and methamphetamine.

Further investigation conducted by the Blackfalds GIS and Lacombe Police Service led to Bullerwell being charged with possession of property obtained by crime over (and under) $5,000 and fraudulent concealment.

Bullerwell and Regie accused were released on their own recognizance to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court.
