Mattie McCullough students welcome Hunting Hills grads through their halls

It was high-fives and congrats at Mattie McCullough Elementary on Thursday where 340 graduating Hunting Hill students took a stroll through the halls in their caps and gowns.

“I thought it was a really cool experience because you don’t realize how far you’ve really come,” said McKenna Smalley, a Mattie McCullough alumnus.

“When you see these little kids, it just brings back all the memories from where you started.”

Her advice to the K-5 students: “Just keep going and don’t forget to enjoy it while it lasts.”

Meanwhile, fellow Mattie McCullough grad Cole Hardman said he had mixed emotions.

“I was sad and happy at the same time. It’s been a long time coming, but there were good times. It’s flown by,” he said.

Hunting Hills graduates will receive their diplomas in a ceremony Friday afternoon prior to their grad dinner and dance in the evening, all at the Westerner.
