Grandview murder suspects appear in court

Two people charged in a Red Deer homicide this spring will return to court next month to set a date for a preliminary inquiry.

Quentin Lee Strawberry, 37, and Jennifer Lee Caswell, 37, both appeared in Red Deer Provincial Court through CCTV on Thursday.

Each is charged with second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm in the death of 45-year-old Joseph Alfred Gallant on March 29, 2019.

That’s when RCMP attended a residence on 40A Avenue in the Grandview neighbourhood where a man was found with serious injuries. Mounties say the victim was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.
